Join Squelch at TSW 2019 in San Diego

Squelch is excited to announce its sponsorship of the 2019 Technology & Services World (TSW) conference, which will bring together thousands of technology and services company leaders to discuss strategies and solutions for meeting rising customer expectations. TSW is happening May 6-8 in San Diego, CA and will be the 23rd such event hosted by the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA).

To help CX professionals prepare for TSW, we’ve compiled the most important event details plus a weather forecast and packing advice.

TSW Event Details

TSW holds special significance for Squelch. As a sponsor of last year’s conference, we not only launched out of stealth at the event but also won TSW’s “Best in Show” award — the first time in the conference’s history that a newcomer has done so.

But the reason we decided to return to TSW for a second year is for all the learning and networking opportunities it offers CX professionals of all stripes, including conference tracks dedicated specifically to customer success and support services. We’re particularly excited about these sessions:

• Our friend Irit Eizips, CEO of CSM Practice, will dive into “Simplifying Customer Success for Complex Product Portfolios at Scale” with Patrick Wells, Global Head of Functional Customer Success for SAP Preferred Success. Attendees can catch this talk on Tuesday, May 7 from 4:00-4:45 PM at Harbor C, Level 2 (Harbor Tower).
• On the support services side, “Enabling a Better Customer Experience (CX) with Contact Center Technology” will feature a discussion between TSIA’s estimable John Ragsdale and Judith Platz along with Randy Mysliviec, President and CEO of RTM Consulting. This talk is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8 from 8:30-9:30 AM at Harbor H, Level 2 (Harbor Tower).

5K on the Bay

In addition to the wealth of informative sessions, the three-day conference will offer attendees plenty of chances to spend quality time with existing contacts and form some new ones. On that front, we’re excited to be hosting the 2019 5K on the Bay fun run.

The 5K on the Bay will give participants a chance to reinvigorate themselves with a walk, jog, or run along the scenic San Diego boardwalk. Taking place on Tuesday, May 9 from 6:00-7:00 AM, the event is the perfect way to kick off Day 2 of TSW. Space is limited, however, so be sure to reserve your spot as part of your conference registration.

Weather Forecast and Packing Recommendations

The forecast for TSW is daytime temperatures in the mid-60s with morning and evening temps in the high 50s. The conference days are expected to be a mix of partly cloudy and mostly sunny with only a slight chance (10 percent) of rain each day.

When it comes to packing, we recommend dressing in layers. This will help attendees stay cozy in the often too-cold hotel event spaces while also keeping them comfortable during the warmer parts of the day. And while the chances of rain are low, it wouldn’t hurt to bring a waterproof jacket or umbrella along if there’s room in the suitcase.

For attendees participating in the fun run, be sure to pack appropriate clothing and shoes for walking or running. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are also important for the 5K on the Bay and any other daytime outdoor activities.
