Pulse Event Details

Pulse will be held at Moscone West, part of downtown San Francisco’s legendary convention center that’s also home to major industry conferences like Dreamforce and Oracle World.

Sessions

The event will kick off with registration at 7 am on Tuesday, May 21 and talks beginning at 9 am. Attendees can expect a full day of sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with a shortened schedule on Friday wrapping up around 3 pm.

One theme of the 2019 conference is “customer success is human first.” As Gainsight explains, “What if the future of business isn’t less human? What if it’s more? This year, Pulse is celebrating human-first customer success by creating learning, networking, and entertainment with the human at the center.”

Pulse will explore this theme through a track on Human-First Leadership. Other tracks include: Evolving Your CS Program, Driving Customer-Centric Transformation, Growing Revenue Through Customer Success, Building Products That Drive Growth, and Scaling Customer Success. Attendees can also learn more about the conference host and its products through the Gainsight Customer Showcase, Gainsight Admin Summit, and Gainsight Elements Workshop.

Celebrations

In the midst of all this learning, there will also be plenty of time for celebrating. The first day will conclude with an opening reception from 5:30-7 pm at Moscone West. The festivities continue on Thursday evening with the Spectacular Pulse Party, a “living celebration to the Roaring Twenties” at San Francisco’s City Hall. (Note: A shuttle will be offered between Moscone West and City Hall during the party hours, which are 8:30-11:30 pm.)

Weather Forecast and Packing Recommendations

During Pulse, the daytime temperature is expected to be in the low-to-high 60s with morning and evening temps in the low 50s. The current forecast for the first two conference days (Tuesday and Wednesday) predicts a 40-50 percent chance of rain, while the latter days (Thursday and Friday) are expected to be a mix of sun and clouds.

When it comes to dressing for San Francisco, layers are key. While the actual temperature may only change 10 degrees over the course of a day, the perceived shifts can be much larger when you take into account wind and fog — not to mention overly-cold conference rooms or stuffy areas packed with event attendees. And given the likelihood of precipitation, we recommend packing an umbrella, raincoat, and waterproof shoes.

Finally, attendees looking to really “jazz” things up at the Pulse after-party might want to consider bringing along some Great Gatsby-style attire. Think fringe, feathers, suspenders, and top hats!

See You in San Francisco
