The Squelch Team Heads to the Windy City for Zendesk Chicago

Throughout 2019, Zendesk is traveling around the globe to present a series of one-day events collectively called Zendesk Showcase.

The mini-conferences are designed for customer experience, support, and success leaders to come together for conversations on creating seamless experiences for both employees and customers. The events also let professionals explore the latest and greatest CX tools and learn about innovative brands that prioritize service.

Squelch was proud to sponsor Zendesk Dallas on April 10 and Zendesk NYC on May 22. Now we’re getting ready to head to Chicago on July 18. Below we’ve pulled together key event details, a weather forecast, and packing tips to prepare for Zendesk Chicago. We hope to see you there!

Get Ready for Zendesk Chicago

The Showcase will take place on Thursday, July 18 at Revel Fulton Market, “a converted dry storage building in Chicago’s former meatpacking district.” Registration and breakfast will begin at 8 am, with talks starting at 9 am. Sessions and demos are expected to run until about 4:15 pm (including during lunch). The jam-packed day will conclude with happy hour and networking from 4:15-5:30 pm.

One talk we highly recommend is the opening keynote titled “Break Free,” which will be led by Tom Keiser, COO, Zendesk; Astha Malik, VP, Planning and GTM Enablement, Zendesk; and, Pascal Pettinicchio, Senior Director, Alliances, Zendesk. As the session description aptly points out, “Customer expectations are changing so rapidly that what is extraordinary today becomes ordinary tomorrow.” The Zendesk trio will explore how to break the chains of the status quo so companies can adapt more quickly to emerging customer needs.

Another session we recommend is “Make the Most of the Top CX Trends for 2019,” co-presented by Claire Peracchio, Benchmark Research, Zendesk, and Sam Chandler, Manager, Customer Success, Zendesk. Peracchio and Chandler will harness data from 45,000+ global support teams to explore the year’s biggest customer experience trends. You won’t want to miss it!

Finally, we hope attendees will stop by the Squelch booth to meet our team and see a demo of our customer experience optimization solution. As a way of saying thanks, we’ll enter you for a chance to win a pair of Apple AirPods.

Weather Forecast and Packing Recommendations

The temperature for Zendesk Chicago is expected to reach a high of 94 degrees with a low of 79. The forecast also predicts isolated thunderstorms in the morning with a 30 percent chance of rain giving way to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon.

Given the forecast, we recommend packing an umbrella and wearing shoes that can handle a bit of water. Attendees might also want to consider dressing in layers — it might be in the 90s outside but conference venues often run cold. Finally, don’t forget to bring chargers for all of your devices (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.). A full day of noteworthy sessions is sure to drain your batteries!

See You in Chicago

The Squelch team had a great experience at the Showcases in Dallas and NYC and expect Zendesk Chicago to be equally enjoyable. We hope all attendees have safe travels and look forward to meeting you!
